Foreword

This year marks not only the 26th Anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the Motherland, but also our return to normality after the epidemic. The rising consumer confidence and the resumption of normal travel between Hong Kong, the Mainland, and other parts of the world have injected new energy and vitality into the city. In April this year, the HKSAR Government launched the "Happy Hong Kong" campaign, offering a series of fun-filled activities for public enjoyment. The campaign kicked off with three "Happy Hong Kong" Gourmet Marketplaces organised by the Home Affairs Department on Hong Kong Island, in Kowloon and the New Territories respectively. Visitors to the marketplaces could savour delicacies from around the world while enjoying cooking demonstrations and performances. As the campaign says, "Taste the Joy, Share the Fun".
Hong Kong people are known for our flexibility and resilience. We rise to every challenge, even in the face of the adversity of the past few years. This year, Hong Kong has entered a new phase of advancing from stability to prosperity. I am sure that all sectors of the community will join hands with the Government to revive our economy, improve people's livelihood and help Hong Kong capitalise on its unique strengths, so that we can better integrate into national development and start a new chapter for the city.
To commemorate the 26th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR, the Home Affairs Department collaborates with community organisations to hold a variety of exciting celebration events in the 18 districts. Please do join us and share the joy of the anniversary. Let's stand united to safeguard Hong Kong and work together to create a brighter future for our home!
